STRAL debuts at Euroluce 2023

STRAL debuts at Euroluce 2023

The 61st edition of the Salone del Mobile Milano 2023 has ended, and after three years saw the long-awaited return of Euroluce. STRAL presented for the first time the entire collection and the new KHORI and BENTH W designed by Alessandro Zambelli.

The Euroluce layout revised by Lombardini22, the creator of the redesign of the exhibition space and its flows thanks to the principles of design for all, took on a circular pattern giving space to visitors who walking through the pavilions were able to observe the different varieties and innovations in the world of lighting proposed.

Euroluce 2023, a debut for STRAL, which presented for the first time the new collection designed by Alessandro Zambelli, finding great appreciation among the public at the exhibition. Particularly liked was the collection's unique and characterising material, AISI 316L stainless steel, and the HCT finishes that accompany it, making it even more resistant and at the same time poetic.

Simulating velvet, visitors were able to experience the quality of a metal that is difficult to work with and therefore requires great technical skill and mastery.

The stand presented in an elegant way and adherent to the clean lines of the collection was inspired by the theatrical scenographic system, enveloping the visitor in a path delimited by curtains and projections, transporting them into an evocative environment. The setting recalls the harsh nature created by a rock lapped by seawater that wants to narrate the performance of STRAL products in the most extreme environments, emphasising their preciousness and elegance.

Great attention to sustainability and cyclicity of materials as well as to the enhancement of the processing of a noble metal such as stainless steel, have been placed in what has been a 360° involvement of the visitor, projected into the new STRAL world. The stylistic coherence is expressed in the visual communication of the products, materials and solutions proposed.

All the materials used for the stand, from the furniture to the sheets, are 100% recyclable. The panels are made of poplar plywood, a plant particularly widespread in northern Italy and 100% ecological. The sheets are made of EVA, a bio-plastic that uses sugar cane ethanol for its production.

24H of light is the theme chosen to present the debut of the new STRAL image.

"The theme we chose tells of the cyclicity of time in Nature. We chose it to present in an experiential way the cyclicity and adaptability of our lamp bodies in even the most extreme outdoor environments. In a natural cycle, 24H ends and starts again in a dance of Nature's continuous regeneration. Natural light and its transformation over the course of the day accompanies our lives, warms them, conditions them, and when dusk falls at its hottest, it is artificial light that takes its place to give harmony and balance to outdoor environments, to make people experience new emotions by highlighting more intimate scenarios and situations", these are the words of Alessandro Zambelli who, in addition to redesigning the entire collection, developed the concept for the stand, as if it were a true installation.

STRAL's new bollard system KHORI presented at Euroluce 2023

KHORI is a 100% AISI 316L stainless steel bollard with 360° light emission, developed in 4 different heights and two different sizes. The conceived volumes carry forward the theme of the purity of rigorous lines, distinctive of the entire collection. The design genesis of this lamp, designed by Alessandro Zambelli, finds inspiration in Nature, the environment in which all STRAL products are called to stand, in particular the Khorixas petrified forest in Namibia. The trunks of these trees go beyond the passage of time in Nature, maintaining a strong presence that overcomes difficulties. It is a metaphor for the resilience of a product that blends seamlessly into the outdoor environment and blends with it so as not to be affected by the weather and time that surrounds it. This new element of the collection pays special attention, right from the initial design stages, to the cyclicity of materials and the concept of regeneration, a concept that we find in the entire STRAL project presented at Euroluce. An intelligent system that travels on the path, increasingly due, towards sustainability, even in the world of lighting.
